I once had a dream where I consciously remembered a dream I had the night before. Remembering a previous dream while in another dream? Mind. Blown. Dreamception!

Ever had that?

I also have a lot of falling and running dreams. But when I try to run I couldn't really go anywhere. Sometimes I could wake myself up by simply opening my eyes while dreaming; I do this when I'm dreaming that someone's chasing me. I'm not really sure how I do it or how I discovered I could do it. It's just weird.

Here's a handy website about dream interpretations.

Art Gallery Trip

This photo was taken a few weeks ago during my visit at the Art Gallery of Windsor. I uploaded this on my Instagram account but didn't really give too much details about it, other than the fact I was the only patron at the time the photo was taken.

I later found out you can't take photos of the art. Don't tell anybody.

The art gallery is conveniently located near the college campus I'm going to this September. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of time there in between classes and even after school. The other thing I love about the gallery is that it's FREE to the public! This goes back to the comment I mentioned above that I was the only patron there that afternoon. Such a shame that a place such as an FREE art gallery would be empty. We really need to go to museums and art galleries more often.

I've always been a regular patron of art galleries and museums. Similar to my love for bookstores (I'll talk about this soon), I find a sense of calm just walking around and looking at exhibits, history and, in this case, art.

Silence Says So Much

Just finished watching the silent French movie The Artist. It was never screened in our city so I was really looking forward to seeing it on Blu-ray. I wasn't disappointed at all; what a refreshing breath of fresh air in today's movie age of CGI, unnecessary 3D effects, and loud explosions.

Even if you're not a fan of silent films, I highly recommend you go rent it at least and experience something truly different.

When I saw "Artist" as a word choice on Draw Something, I just couldn't resist:

Drawn on an iPod Touch. No stylus. 30 minutes.

Here We Go Again

The journal is live again.

I've been thinking about re-launching this for several days now. I've realized that it's been a long time since I've sat down and wrote about things. Sure there's Facebook and Twitter and whatnot but I feel they don't compare to blogs or journals where your thoughts are not limited to bite-size status updates or 140 characters. With a blog I can take my time and give myself the opportunity to mull things over and really express myself.

We'll keep the entries light-hearted and fun. The last thing I want to do is bore you with serious stuff. You can stalk me online by clicking the different links above. Feel free to email me at johnerwinbautista@ymail if you want to be my penpal. Do people still do the whole penpal thing?

You can also leave comments here and say words like "You rock, Johnny!" or "OMG, I want to have your babies, Johnny!" and even "Dude, seriously, your blog title is so generic."

You get the idea.

Please excuse the blandness of the blog right now. It's pretty bare I know. I'll spruce it up as soon as I can. I'll update this thing as often as I can, maybe even post several entries per day.
